Summer 2019 Lifeguarding Positions
Abenaki Canoe Club is looking for Summer Lifeguarding staff for the positions of Head Lifeguard, Lifeguard/Swimming Instructor, Lifeguard/Bronze Cross/Bronze Medallion Instructor, and Lifeguard for the summer of 2019.
We are also looking for casual lifeguard/instructors to populate our sub list and work a few weekends.
Positions pay $12.50- $14.00 an hour with a flexible schedule required offering between 30-40 hours a week for four positions and limited hours for casual lifeguard/instructors.
Applicants need to have the following qualifications to be considered for the position:
A current National Lifeguard Service Award,
Current Standard First Aid, CPR certification
Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or Swim for Life Instructor.
Head Lifeguards should have several years aquatics experience with leadership experience
The Bronze Cross/ Bronze Med instructor position requires their Lifesaving Instructor certification.
Copies of qualifications must be brought to the interview.

Successful applicants must attend a two day paid orientation in June prior to the club opening. Dates will be provided at the interview for the orientation and the summer season.

Lifeguards watch over our wonderful swimming area. Red Cross Swim lessons are also offered throughout the summer, and won't interfere with your paddling!
